Michael Letter, MHA & LNHA

Michael brings over 30 years of experience in long term care and healthcare leadership, with a strong dedication to providing compassionate, resident-centered care. Throughout his career, he has been committed to enhancing quality of life for residents while supporting families and empowering staff.

A lifelong resident of Plainview-Old Bethpage community, Michael lives locally with his wife and 2 children. He began his career at Central Island Healthcare in 1999 as an Assistant Administrator and is especially proud to return to the organization where his professional journey first began.

Michael holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Hofstra University and is a licensed New York State Nursing Home Administrator. Prior to joining Central Island Healthcare, he served as Senior Vice President / Chief Operating Officer at the Gurwin Healthcare System, where he led initiatives that improved care quality, strengthened team collaboration and ensured regulatory excellence.

Known for his approachable and supportive leadership style, Michael believes in building strong relationships with residents, families, and staff. He is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming environment where every resident feels respected, valued, and at home.
