Residents may receive visitors 7 days without appointment between 1pm-7pm. Until further notice, NYSDOH requires valid proof of COVID-19 testing prior to visitation. Two days prior for PCR test or one day for Rapid test.

Visitors must comply with all posted infection control rules. We will continue to monitor DOH and CDC guidance.

Recognizing the overwhelming burden of Medical bills that most patients already incur before arriving at Central Island Healthcare, we are thrilled to pick up the tab for your initial ambulette trip from the hospital to our facility as you get admitted to Central Island Healthcare. 

Direct TV Satellite Television

For your viewing pleasure, all of our guests are provided with over 35 channels of free satellite TV service projected on their own flat screen television. The channel selection includes all entertainment categories from news and sports, to fine living, travel, and movies. There is always something on for everyone to enjoy.

Telephone Service

Communicating with your loved ones couldn’t be easier. All guests are given their own private telephone number and bedside telephone. Now guests no longer need to worry about bringing and losing their small mobile phones from home.

Internet

Whether you use it for business or pleasure, surfing the web has become an essential component of all of our everyday lives. For this reason, Central Island Healthcare is completely set up with free Wi-Fi internet access. Guests can now surf the web from the privacy of their own room, or bring their lap-top computers with them to one of our lounges.

For guests who do not have their own lap-top computer, we have a free internet kiosk for anyone to use and enjoy.

On-Site Visitor Parking 

We offer ample on-site parking for visitors. This ensures that every guest has a place to park when they visit our facility. 

Visiting Shops

In order to give our patients an opportunity to shop while in an in-patient setting, Central Island Healthcare schedules visiting shops to come set up their boutiques as frequently as possible. Please see the Recreation calendar for more information.

Beauty Parlor

Open every Friday from 9:30am-5pm. The Beauty Salon is on the Lower Level directly across from the Staff Dining Room. Services are provided by a licensed beautician- Nazmiye 'Nina' Senadam.
